Sue opened the doors in August 2015, making the Pestle and Mortar Hinckley's first micropub. It is a traditional bar with a quirky twist which you will see from the pictures or when you visit.
We regularly have 15 traditional ciders on offer, both local and from Somerset. We offer a good selection of wines, a craft and a German Pilsner lager on tap along with a Stout, a Brown Ale and a small selection of spirits.
Our cask ales change every week, so it's like a mini beer festival at the Pestle! We keep Bass on all the time but the other 5 casks change regularly, see our Facebook page for the latest.
We serve pork pie with mustard and Stilton and freshly made cobs with fillings such as cheese and onion. We also have a large selection of nuts to nibble on!
Children are welcome in the top area away from the bar but not on Friday and Saturday evenings as the bar gets too busy. Dogs are welcomed if on leads - treats and water are always available for them.
